Aleftina Pryakhina was coached by Mikhail Klimenko who is best known for being the coach of Elena Mukhina. She is one of the most successful gymnasts to have never competed in a World Championships and/or Olympics. Pryakhina was the alternate for the Soviet team at the 1987 World Championships.
