Good eye. The data I’m using is from the OlyMadMen database who responded to my request for a list of every gymnast with a known place of birth. Diaz is in the OlyMadMen data without a place of birth and wasn’t included in the list I was given.

Why didn’t you list Bridget Sloan from Pittsboro. Indiana? Besides the Olympic team, she was also World Champion and all-around NCAA champion. She was a member of Sharps Gymnastics in Indianspolis.

Bridget Sloan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. The OlyMadMen database opts to classify Olympians based on the location of their birth, not the location of their training center. This is done because Olympians often train in multiple locations over the course of their career and it is far too subjective to categorize Olympians by training location. Not only is this how OlyMadMen does it, but I strongly agree with their position.
