Asia D’Amato was a member of Italy’s famed “2003 quartet” featuring Giorgia Villa, Elisa Iorio, and Asia’s identical twin sister, Alice D’Amato. Together they comprised the core of the Italian lineup which won a bronze medal in the team competition at the 2019 World Championships which was Italy’s first medal in the team competition since the 1950 World Championships. Asia D’Amato would go on to participate in the 2021 Olympics and in 2022 she won the All-Around at the European Championships.
