Dagmar Kersten enjoyed success at the senior level from the very start. She finished 3rd behind Oksana Omelianchik and Elena Shushunova in her very first appearance at the World Championships. Dagmar was a highly efficient gymnast having won at least one individual medal in every competition she appeared in. Even though she recently celebrated her 50th birthday, at the time this profile page was written (November 2020), Kersten is still an active athlete. She currently participates in karate and appears in competitions.
